GDT Landscapes were contracted for terracing and playing field extensions at Mt Crosby State Primary School
The school had large open spaces that were being under utilized due to the steep grades and further effected by erosion.
GDT Landscapes provide a design/construct service with the brief to increase level playing areas, improve the surface flows to reduce erosion and increase overall aesthetics of the area.
The proposed works required terracing with B-grade sandstone edges to provide two more level areas suitable for ball sports. Space in between said terraces provided the oppurtunity for a future native plantings.
The finished product was large flat turf areas separated by a prepared garden bed with three ramps providing access to the various levels and playgrounds for recreational purposes and maintenance.
